Jakes Hotel is a family-owned property, located on beautiful Jamaica Beach.
In the 1940's the Hanzell family found a huge wide beach where the only other occupants were fishermen with their cotton-tree canoes and their canvas sails.
Here is where they decided they would build their beach cottage.
What began as a quaint two-bedroom cottage for the Hanzell family, is now a gorgeous bohemian retreat for yogis, sunworshippers and people who desire the quiet, chill vibes of beach life.
